Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Last updated: August 20, 2026
At MamaPapa, we understand that your family photos and memories are precious and personal. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your data is handled with the utmost care.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. You may also choose to provide additional information such as a profile photo, date of birth, and family relationships. This information helps us personalize your experience and connect you with family members.
We store the photos, videos, and other content you upload to MamaPapa. This includes any metadata associated with your files, such as the date, time, and location where a photo was taken (EXIF data), file names, and any tags or descriptions you add. We use this information to organize and display your content.
When you create family groups or share content, we collect information about your sharing preferences, family connections, and who has access to your content. This allows us to provide sharing features and ensure only authorized people can view your memories.
We use your information to operate and maintain MamaPapa, including storing and displaying your photos, enabling sharing with family members, and personalizing your experience.
We analyze usage patterns to improve our features, fix bugs, and develop new functionality. This analysis uses aggregated, anonymized data and does not involve reviewing individual photos or personal content.
We may send you service-related notifications, such as account verification emails, security alerts, and important updates about our service. You can manage your communication preferences in your account settings.
We share your content only with the family members and friends you choose to share with. We never share your photos or personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
We use trusted third-party services for hosting, storage, and payment processing. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and can only use it to provide services to MamaPapa.
We never sell your personal information or photos to third parties. We never use your photos for advertising purposes. We never share your content with other users without your explicit permission.
MamaPapa does not use facial recognition. We do not detect, scan, or analyze faces in your photos, and we do not generate or store face embeddings, face templates, or any other biometric data. We also do not estimate age or gender, and we do not classify the scenes or surroundings in your photos.
You can tag the people who appear in a photo (yourself, your partner, your children, and your friends), but every tag is created manually by you. No automatic suggestions are made and no biometric comparison is performed. A tag simply records that you said a person appears in a photo.
To keep the service safe, uploaded images are checked by an automated content-moderation model for nudity. This is a safety check only: it does not identify people, does not recognize faces, and does not create any biometric profile.
We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data both in transit (TLS/SSL when uploading and downloading) and at rest (AES-256 encryption for stored data).
We implement strict access controls to ensure that only authorized personnel can access your data, and only when necessary to provide the Service, respond to support requests, or comply with legal obligations.
In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by law.
You can access and download your personal information and content at any time through your account settings.
You can delete individual photos, albums, or your entire account at any time. Deleted content is permanently removed immediately upon confirmation.
You can control who sees your content through album visibility settings (Private or Public to friends). Private albums can be shared with specific friends you choose.
MamaPapa is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Parents and guardians may include photos of their children (of any age) in their family albums. Parents are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate consent to share photos of minors.
